''The Sleep Produces Monsters'' is the second concept album by progressive rock project Oberon.

The concept of this album is the mental instability of the human being, governed by his fears, in conflict with himself, troubled by anxieties and visions arising from his mind.

This is a small poem that aims to empathize the listener in the (fictitious) protagonist of the album, making universal his anxieties, fears, oppression and stress, trying to create a link between music, emotions, thoughts, images and words.

Time to sleep is near
Nightmares are in front of my eyes
But I'm still awake
Visions push my mind to obsession
I hear them laughing at me,
in my head, under my skin
Strange shadows move on my body
Drink to the oppression of the new day!
It's the sleep that pushes me into oblivion
The sleep produces monsters

This album was inspired by the underground progressive rock bands of the seventies with a heavy sound.
